Formula Drift Orlando 2017

Every year, I shoot Formula Drift when it makes its way to Florida. This year, however, things were a little bit different. I wasn't shooting for myself. I wasn't shooting for an online blog or website. I was shooting for a team. A Pro team.

This is a HUGE accomplishment for me, and something I can finally check off my bucket list, thanks to Oracle Lights - the main sponsor for Dean "Karnage" Kearney of Bridges Racing.

While on track, I couldn't help but shoot some of the other drivers while waiting for mine to come out. There were some intense tandems and poetic driving that weekend, and I hope was able to capture even a fraction of that for those who could not attend.

Golden Hour

I captured these shots during the morning Golden Hour before leaving for the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona last weekend..
Worth it.

Rolex 24 2017: The Final Hours

At 2:30pm today, the Rolex 24 Hours came to a close, crowning its winners. The all-new Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac DPi-V.R, with Jeff Gordon as one of its drivers, took the overall win - though it was nothing short of controversial. During the final laps, the new Cadillac DPi made contact with the then-leading car, causing it to spin out and give Cadillac a lead of just over four seconds. Those four seconds was all it took to bring them to victory.

In just their second year in the series, one of the three Chip Ganassi Ford GTs took the win for the GTLM class, followed by the factory Porsche 911 RSR. In the GTD class, the Alegra Motorsports Porsche team claimed victory, followed closely by the Land Motorsport Audi R8 LMS.
